In this week's episode I talk about the value of an apology and while hearing "I'm sorry" feels validating we're not guaranteed an apology and we have to learn how to move on with or without the apology

In this week's episode I get candid about how I had to learn a hard lesson about the importance of being humble. It doesn't matter if you're right, humility is what counts!

In this episode I share some thoughts about how to manage expectations when we go to friends and or family for advice. Everything ain't for everybody and we can't expect that our loved ones are always going to be the right people to connect with when we need support. We need to be cognizant of who we are accessing when were are trying to get support for whatever it is we are going through. In this episode I talk about the unfair judgement/stereotypes millennials deal with just because of when they were born. I encourage baby boomers and Gen Xers to think twice about how they view millennials especially in regards to the work environment.

The Group Dinner Experience

Your friends want you to go out to dinner but you're broke so saving your coins is your top priority. Nonetheless you still get dragged to the outing but you purchase something on the cheaper side as to avoid not going over your budget of $15. Unfortunately you're friends who have purchased appetizers, entrees and several alcoholic beverages believe that you should get down with the get down and split the $200 + bill.

You're not having it. Are you wrong for wanting to only pay your way and not join in the expensive group dinner experience?

Check out this week's episode "The Group Dinner Experience" where answer the above question and share tips on how to deal when you don't have the funds to eat with a party of 4 or more.

A Broken System

As a a women of color it often feels like the system was not made for me and people who look like me to succeed. In the past year alone I have had to bear witness to recorded shootings of police officers paid to protect and serve take the lives of Black men and women and for no good reason. Literally NONE!

While this podcast is meant to cover light topics I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge the very present injustices Black Amercans have faced and continue to face in this country. In this week's episode I simply share my thoughts on how I feel about all that has transpired and some wisdom from the late great poet Dr. Maya Angelou.

Iconoclasts Interview: Dr. Angelou and Dave Chappelle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okc6COsgzoE A millennial sharing her thoughts on how to handle first world problems by telling the truth and nothing but the truth.

take it with you

Iphone_trans Listening to podcasts on your mobile devices is extremely convenient -- and it's what makes the podcasting medium so powerful.

You can take your favorite shows and mixes with you anywhere, but to do so requires some quick and simple steps.

Let's walk you through that process together.
step 1:

Click the "Subscribe With iTunes" link in the page's sidebar:

Subscribe_with_itunes

This will require that you have the iTunes software on your computer.

(You can download iTunes here.)
step 2:
Itunes_ss

Now that you've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, the feed will display in your "Podcasts" section on the left navigation bar.

Click there and you'll see the show displayed in the iTunes browser.

You can "get all" to download all available episodes or just individual episodes.
step 3:

Plug your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) into your computer with the Dock Connector cable, and click the device in iTunes's left navigation bar.

Itunes_ss2

Once you have your device highlighted, click "Podcasts" in the top navigation bar and sync the podcasts you want on your device. Click "apply" and the episodes you have downloaded on your iTunes software will sync with your device.
that's it!

The beauty of this process is that now, every new episode of your subscribed podcasts will automatically sync to your device every time you plug it in and open iTunes. You can now take your favorite shows with you everywhere you go.

Enjoy!
done!
